I Heard you wanted to know

My name is Mark and I’m a Clyde on the mend. If you’re wondering what a “Clyde” is check out my first post.  On the weekend of Memorial Day 2012 I broke my collar-bone in spectacular fashion.  For most of my life I have been involved in athletics in one form or another.  Football in elementary school, basketball in middle school, then track, cross-country and lacrosse in high school.  Never accomplishing much in any of those activities I found the gym in college.  I feel it was the first time that hard work, determination and consistency would yield results.  I was hooked, the pride I gained from making gains in the gym and in my body was intoxicating.  Fast forward 10 years a couple 1/2 marathons, 15Ks, 10Ks, and one marathon I was feeling good, until that fateful Memorial day.  Its been a little over two months since the accident and I’m physically in the worst shape I’ve ever been in. Ive gained weight, lost muscle, endurance and self-esteem. I’m working through adhesive capsulitis in my right shoulder as a result of my injury. With all that said this is the documentation of my recovery. Its time to take it back and I want to take you with me for the laughs, the learning and the tears.  Trust me when I drive past Black Hog BBQ instead of stopping there will be tears……
